[Kaleidescape, Inc](https://www.kaleidescape.com/). is an American multimedia company based in Mountain View, California. Founded in 2001, it designs multi-room home entertainment server systems that store and play back video and audio content to movie players that can be connected to televisions or projectors.

Founded in 2001, Kaleidescape set out to revolutionize home entertainment by delivering movies of the highest quality, effortlessly accessible from any room at the touch of a button. At that time, the concept was groundbreaking. DVDs, though a leap forward in home video quality, still came with the hassle of managing physical discs and navigating clunky menus.

To realize this vision, Kaleidescape developed an advanced solution for the era of physical media: the Kaleidescape Premiere system. This innovation allowed users to import their DVDs onto a hard disk, providing easy access through a sleek, graphical interface. The system also offered features like dimming the lights, closing the drapes, and adjusting projection screen masking, simulating a luxurious theater experience at home.

As technology advanced, so did Kaleidescape. With the advent of Blu-ray, which set new standards for HD content, we introduced a second generation of Premiere products that extended our renowned convenience and usability to the HD format.
